I've always seen some old pictures of this fascinating car. I've never heard how it sounds until now. It sounds terrifying on video (just imagine how it sounds when you're beside the car). That's a very well done restoration and a beautiful short video.

You were beat (not by me) by about two hours.

http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/to-help-you-ge…

I post something that had been posted a few days before and I catch all kinds of hell for it. Other people post identical content hours apart and nobody notices.

Shit, this video was even FP'd today.

Legend tells each crank guy lasted only two engine starts.

True, but it's just a trailer for a longer documentary about the restoration.

Hey, that's your fault. SEO. I searched for FIAT, S76, Turin.

I tried. Keywords man.

It was FP'd 12 minutes after my post.

This particular post wasn't mine.

But there was a case last week where I posted something WITH keywords 12 hours before somebody else. Guess who got credit when it got FP'd.

I've been around several message boards and many don't mess around when it comes to content getting reposted. This is the only place I've been where it's practically celebrated.

No kidding. I'm glad somebody had the balls to do it though.

To be honest, reposting a video is one thing, but the FP article had a little write-up with it. If it was a copy-paste issue, then I'd have a problem. It's happened to me too.

Man, I don't know, but the fuel burn rate has to be incredible.

Yeah I'm not blaming you or anything. Just seems to be an influx of re-posted content lately.

Best guess on the FP version is the video was seen hours before and the write-up was done (I'd hope with more effort than checking Wikipedia, which I have seen from FP before) in the time since. For all I know, they didn't see either post on Oppo.

That being said, I have seen videos/pictures posted on Oppo without context get turned into longer articles on FP in a matter of hours, usually without credit.

Oh I saw this, I made this today. I snapped the mustache bar on my 240z and I finished fixing that, then I came in and saw this video. Quite a beast. I was going to post something but I have never been able to post in oppo.

Good luck on the Z! I've been infatuated with 240Z's lately. Thanks for the gifs!

When we went to Kinja, I remember having to ask a Jalopnik mod for permission to post.

Looks like people are getting permissions added by asking in this thread:

I have an early 72' which has a lot of bits that weren't deleted yet. Seems like the Zs I see after 6/72 have some changes. The mustache bar was probably the last original thing under there, its all fine but I had to get AAA with a flatbed. I have a 5 speed now and the original motor rebuilt, triple Webers. There is no better classic for the money, its like a Japanese 60's Ferrari and sounds like a warbird in the canyons.
